Foundry Art Centre is one of my favorite Midwestern arts organizations, so I'm very excited and honored to announce that I'll have work in their upcoming spring exhibition, Luck of the Draw, in which 35 artists will explore the theories of luck and pure happenstance through works of art.
The show runs March 10 through April 21, 2017, with an opening reception on Friday March 10 from 5:30pm until 8:00pm. If you're in the Missouri area, please swing by (and take pictures for me!).
My two pieces are from my on-going, daily You Look Like The Right Type overheard-conversation series. One is a letterpress broadside, overheard on an airplane and printed with huge, vintage wood type on a Vandercook press at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina. The second is a print of an ink drawing on Bristol, overheard in Chicago. Both prints are for sale through Foundry at the show.
